The 2004 Hair of the Dog party was held at the Bellevue on Saturday, January 10th. Most agreed that the elegant Bellevue was an even better place to hold this annual bash. The bar stations, while numerous, were a popular destination all night, which led clever revelers to order three or four drinks at a time. The crowd was generally in black-tie and gowns, (with a heavier emphasis on cleavage than many other galas). The band, Don't Call Me Francis, put on a great show, too, packing people on the dance floor. In places, smoking was allowed - the cigarette haze became bothersome as early as eleven p.m. About that time, a guy jumped up on stage and proposed to his girlfriend. Did she say yes? Check the photos... The charity beneficiary, the Sunshine Foundation, an organization that grants wishes to ill children, should expect a weighty check this year, as the party was officially sold out. This party remains one of the top ten parties for young singles in Philadelphia.
