Patrice Rames, formerly the chef at Bistro Saint Tropez, opened his own restaurant/lounge aptly named Patou, which was his childhood nickname, at 312 Market Street on Tuesday, January 13th. He aims to call to mind the ambiance of the French Riviera and does so with boating motifs, beachy white walls, and of course, the attractive french staffers. The nibbles were outstanding – tiny burgers topped with foie gras and mushrooms and onions sauteed in truffled oil remain in our memory. We shall return.
