The Best Thing This Week: Stormy Made a Break For It

We know, Stormy, we know. We feel exactly the same way.

Man, what a week, huh? Carson Wentz’s knee. The Mystery of Markelle’s Shoulder. The Republican tax plan. The FCC’s war on net neutrality. The Media Men’s Libido Hall of Shame. (Donovan McNabb?!?) Sometimes you really just have to get away from it all, even if your “all” consists of sitting around next to Baby Jesus and munching hay. So our sympathies were totally with Stormy, the most restless aspect of the Live Nativity at Old First Reformed United Church of Christ in Old City, who at approximately 2 a.m. on Thursday, December 14th, made a break for it, only to be corralled by cops as she wandered south on I-95 in Northern Liberties. Returned to her urban pasture, she refused to be quelled and made a run for it again, this time winding up on the top floor of a parking garage. Stormy, you weren’t—you weren’t going to jump, were you, Stormy? Girl, be strong. Don’t you know it’s always darkest before the dawn?
