Construction closures could bring headaches for some I-676 and I-76 commuters next week.

PennDOT has announced that sections of both roads will close for bridge inspections on Wednesday and Thursday next week. Here’s what to look out for, via the organization’s website:

• Wednesday, March 29, and Thursday, March 30, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the right lane is scheduled to close on the westbound I-676 ramp to westbound I-76; and

• Wednesday, March 29, and Thursday, March 30, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., the left lane is scheduled to close on westbound I-76 between I-676 and Girard Avenue.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead and allow for more travel time in these areas. You can check road conditions on 511pa.com.

Bridge inspections are conducted at least once every two years, according to PennDOT. For more information visit penndot.gov.
