Arrest Made In Shooting That Killed 8-Year-Old Camden Girl

The U.S. Marshals Service has arrested a man in connection with the fatal shooting in Camden of an eight-year-old girl, according Philly.com.

Gabrielle Hill Carter was struck in the head by a stray bullet during a shooting near her home on August 24th, and died later that week. Law enforcement officials arrested 18-year-old Tyhan Brown, a Camden native, in connection with the shooting. Brown, who will be extradited back to Camden, was found at his uncle’s house in Tennessee, according to the report.

Brown’s mother and another Camden woman are facing charges related to hindering the police investigation of the shooting by providing a false alibi for Brown.
