Leonard Boyer III, a staffer in the Philadelphia City Commissioners office, was shot to death outside his North Philadelphia home on Saturday. He was 25.

Per police reports, Boyer was killed on the 600 block of North 12th Street — the Daily News says he was outside of his mother’s North Philadelphia home. He was shot in the back and head by two unidentified men.

“It was just complete disbelief,” City Commissioner Al Schmidt told the DN. “We’re a small city department, and everybody works closely together. This was somebody we saw and worked with every day.”

Boyer was a recent college graduate, and had a young daughter. “He had just parked his vehicle and was walking to his mother’s house when two unidentified males walked up to him and executed him, shooting him several times,” Capt. James Clark told 6 ABC. Per the station, police are looking for a black vehicle with New Jersey plates.
