Man Allegedly Shot Girlfriend With a Crossbow in Torresdale

Police had previously been called to the house on domestic violence reports, according to news outlets.

A man allegedly shot his girlfriend in the chest with a crossbow Sunday night in Torresdale.

The woman, who was identified as 42-year-old Pamela Nightlinger, was taken to Aria Health Torresdale hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead around 10:30 p.m., approximately an hour after she was shot, according to the Inquirer. Police said her 40-year-old boyfriend is in custody.

Police Captain Anthony Ginaldi said police had previously been called to the house on the 3100 block of Willits Road on reports of domestic violence, Metro reports. Neighbors called the police after the woman stumbled to their house after being shot Sunday night, according to NBC10.

6ABC reports that the woman’s boyfriend has been taken into police custody. The names of the victim and suspect have not yet been released.
