Auction: Own a Piece of Midtown Diner History

The Midtown II closed earlier this month, and now its parts are being auctioned off.

The Midtown II diner at 11th and Sansom closed last week, and now it’s being sold for scrap.

Comly Auctioneers & Appraisers announced in a press release on Wednesday that more than 100 items of inventory from the decades-old diner will be sold at auction starting this Friday, June 17th, at 3 p.m. Items include kitchen equipment like walk-in coolers, grills, and fryers, as well as smaller kitchen appliances like toasters and deli slicers. Even two TVs.

Bidders are invited to inspect the items at the restaurant on Friday from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. The auction will be conducted online from 3 p.m. on Friday until noon on Tuesday, June 21st.
