There are many great events at the Penn Relays, but one of the most fun is the mixed masters 100-meter dash. On Saturday, the 80-and-up division featured three runners who broke 20 seconds.

But it was the runner in last place who got the most applause over the weekend. Ida Keeling, 100 years old, set a new world record for women over 100 years old by finishing her 100 meters in 1:17.33.

She began racing in her late 60s, and still holds the 60-meter dash record for women 95-to-99 years old: 29.86 seconds. “You see so many older people just sitting around — well, that’s not me,” she recently told The New York Times. “Time marches on, but I keep going.”

She turns 101 on Thursday.
