Chesco Pastor Arrested at Newark Airport

Jacob Malone, wanted on rape charges, was returning from abroad.

Jacob Malone, the Chester County pastor wanted on charges he raped a teen who lived with his family, was arrested Monday at Newark Liberty International Airport. Officials had previously said he had gone to Ecuador.

Officials say Malone met the female at a church in Mesa, Arizona, when she was 12-years old; he was a pastor at a church she attended. When she was 17, he invited her to Minnesota — where he was then pastoring — to stay with his family. She was also invited to live with the family in Pennsylvania in July 2014, after Malone moved to join the ministry at Calvary Fellowship in Downingtond; police say he began sexually assaulting her that fall. After she turned 18, the victim told police, Malone gave her alcohol twice — on one of those occasions “the victim alleged that she became highly intoxicated and was molested by Malone.” The woman reportedly became pregnant by Malone.

Malone is being held in New Jersey, and is waiting extradition to Pennsylvania to face
