Police arrested a 51-year-old man they believe opened fire on fellow game-watchers Sunday night following the Eagles’ loss to Arizona, killing one man and wounding two others.

Investigators said the foursome watched the game together in a garage in the city’s Cedarbrook section. “After the football game, at some time around midnight, for some reason, a 51-year-old man pulled out a gun and started firing shots at the three people he was with watching the football game that were sitting on the couch,” Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told NBC 10.

Another 51-year-old man, the occupant of the house, was shot in the chest and died at the scene. Two other men were hospitalized with gunshot wounds and expected to survive.

There were conflicting early reports, differing on whether the suspect had been caught, but a police spokeswoman told Philly Mag this morning the shooter is in custody.
