Arsonist Catches Arm on Fire in Overbrook After Torching 11 Cars

Is that World's Stupidest Criminals show still on TV?

If you have a friend who suddenly turned up with a burnt left arm and hand earlier this month, you might want to get in touch with police.

The Philadelphia Police Department is looking for an arsonist who torched 11 cars and fled after catching himself on fire on November 6th. The incident occurred at 4:46 a.m. at Superior Automotive, located at 6122 Lancaster Avenue in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia.

Police describe the suspect as follows: “Unknown male, brown complected, medium build, and possibly left handed, wearing blue jeans, and a gray hooded sweatshirt.”

(And possibly with burns on his left arm and hand, we’re guessing.)

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Pearson in the Southwest Division at 215-686-3183.
