Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s woes keep mounting: Today, prosecutors filed a perjury charge against her, adding to the criminal case stemming from allegations she leaked grand jury secrets to punish a political rival.

The newest charge stems from a search of Kane’s office conducted last month, officials said.

“The new perjury count stems from her claim that she never signed a secrecy oath preventing her from releasing information from past grand jury cases,” 6ABC reports. “Prosecutors say they recovered such a document from Kane’s office. They say she signed it on her second day in office.”

Kane’s law license was suspended following her indictment on perjury, conspiracy, and other counts. She is scheduled to be arraigned Oct. 14 on the charges.
