Someone Stole a Papal Flag in Philadelphia!

You know you're going to Hell when...

You can steal a man’s bike. You can steal a man’s car. But you cannot steal a man’s papal flag. And yet that’s just what happened in Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Police Department reports that on September 22nd, just as visitors for Pope Francis were beginning to arrive in the city, someone stole a papal flag from the area of 27th and South streets.

The sacrilegious crime occurred at 6:30 a.m. that Tuesday. Police say that the suspects were caught on surveillance video circling the 600 block of South 27th Street. They eventually pulled their car over — looks like a white SUV to us — and grabbed the papal flag being proudly displayed in front of a home.

The video is grainy, but c’mon people, this is a papal flag! Watch it, and if you have any tips for police, call South Detectives at 215-686-3013.
