South Street Shooting Leaves One Dead

Police are currently looking for the suspect.

One person is dead after a Friday-evening shooting outside the Theatre of Living Arts at 334 South Street.

Sergeant Eric Gripp of the Philadelphia Police has confirmed that the victim, a man in his 20s, was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital, where he we was pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. At this time, there is no official word on any other victims. Gripp said a handgun was was found in the general vicinity of the TLA.

The suspect is a male wearing a black shirt with the letters “OTF,” who possibly fled the scene in a limousine that is currently being held on Columbus Boulevard. In addition, I-95 has been shut down in the South Street vicinity while police look for evidence.
