Man Robs Center City 7-Eleven Using Pepper Spray

His take? Ten packs of smokes.

A couple of weeks ago, we told you about a man who allegedly robbed cigarettes from a Wawa simply by shoving the cashier, and now police say that another cigarette bandit has struck in the city, this time using pepper spray.

According to police, the man seen here robbed the 7-Eleven at 1 Franklin Town Boulevard — about a block off of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway — on Wednesday, August 19th at 3:47 a.m. Police say that he asked the cashier at the store for 10 packs of cigarettes and after the cashier placed them on the counter, the suspect sprayed the 61-year-old man in the face instead of paying. The man fled the store with his smokes and the victim was treated at Hahnemann Hospital.

Police describe the suspect as follows: “Black male, 20 years-of-age, 5’11”-6’0″, dark complected, Afro style hair, wearing a camouflage shirt, dark colored shorts, and dark colored sneakers.”

Wait, is that really an Afro?
