Woman Attacked on Passyunk Avenue in Queen Village

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the man seen in this surveillance photo. He is wanted for an attack in Queen Village.

According to police, the assault occurred on July 31st at 3:00 a.m. when a 28-year-old woman encountered him on the 700 block of East Passyunk Avenue in Queen Village, about a block away from South Street.

He began chasing after her, and she can be seen running away from him in the disturbing surveillance video seen below. Eventually, the suspect caught up to her, and police say that he physically assaulted and robbed her before fleeing with her cell phone.

Police describe the suspect as follows: “Black male, 5’7″, light to medium complected, and facial hair.”
