Police say Robert Ritter, a New Jersey man wanted on armed robbery charges, led them on a two-hour police chase Monday night through two states that ended only when a police cruiser clipped his van and flipped it over.

6ABC says authorities initially tried to stop Ritter at 8 p..m. in Oaklyn, Camden County.

“Police say the white van left Oaklyn and went over the Walt Whitman Bridge,” the station reports. “The vehicle then went on I-95 south in Pennsylvania, off at Bartram Avenue, back on I-95 North, off at Broad, back onto I-95 North and back over the Walt Whitman into New Jersey.”

He crossed back on the Ben Franklin Bridge, before the chase ultimately ended in southwest Philadelphia. “He will be charged in Philadelphia with three counts of aggravated assault against the officers that he crashed into,” a police official said, “and then extradited eventually to New Jersey to face the robbery charges.”
