Philadelphia Police have released surveillance footage of a terrifying attempted home invasion in West Mt. Airy. They are looking for your help to locate the suspects.

On Tuesday, police say, a 32-year-old West Mt. Airy resident was inside his home on the 500 block of Burnham Road (off Lincoln Drive, near the Upsal train station) when he heard a knock on the door. When he opened the door, a second man ran up and pointed a gun at him.

The victim was able to shut the door. Surveillance footage shows two more men in the group attempting to gain entry to the house. The suspects were not able to get in to the house and fled in unknown directions.

In the second unrelated home invasion this week, police say two masked men entered a home on the 1200 block of N. 2nd Street (near the Girard El stop) early this morning. Cops say the two invaders beat the home’s occupant and stole his TV and phone. NBC 10 reported it may have been related to drug sales.
