Now that we’re only a week away from the NBA Draft, we’re beginning to get a little bit better of a feel for what teams will do on draft night.

Maybe.

As we get closer to the big night, misinformation becomes king as teams and agents look to control the process and keep competitors off-balance. Still, it’s worth taking a look at what the various experts around the league think the 76ers will do in the draft.

The mock draft release date is noted in parentheses.

Chad Ford (6/17): ESPN’s Chad Ford has the Sixers taking Kristaps Porzingis 3rd overall in his latest mock, passing over D’Angelo Russell for the Latvian big man. He has the Sixers taking Olivier Hanlan (35th), Vince Hunter (37th), Josh Richardson (47th), Ziga Dimec (58th) and Daniel Díez (60th) in the 2nd round.

DraftExpress.com (6/17): DraftExpress also has the Sixers taking Porzingis 3rd overall. The 2nd round includes Rakeem Christmas (35th), Robert Upshaw (37th), Hanlan (47th), Richardson (58th) and Cady Lalanne (60th).

Gary Parrish (6/18): CBS Sports’ Gary Parish has the Sixers taking Porzingis 3rd overall as well, once again passing on Russell. He has Dakari Johnson (35th), Guillermo Hernangómez (37th), Michael Frazier II (47th), Alan Williams (58th), and Chris Walker (60th) going to the Sixers in the 2nd round.

Zach Harper (6/18): Zach Harper (also of CBS Sports) has the Sixers taking Russell. The Sixers’ 2nd round picks are  Hernangómez (35th), J.P. Tokoto (37th), Andrew Harrison (47th), Díez (58th), and Walker (60th).

NBADraft.net (6/17): NBADraft.net has the Sixers going with Russell at No. 3, then Cliff Alexander, Jarell Martin, Aaron White, LeBryan Nash, and Trevor Lacey in the 2nd round.

Basketballinsiders.com (6/17): BasketballInsiders releases four mock drafts each week, one each by Alex Kennedy, Joel Brigham, Moke Hamilton and Steve Kyler. They have the Sixers taking Russell, Emmanuel Mudiay, Russell, and Russell, respectively.

Derek Bodner (6/15): For my mock draft over at USA Today, I have the Sixers taking Russell 3rd. In the 2nd round I have Alexander, Frazier, Cedi Osman and Williams going to the Sixers.

Sean Deveney (6/15): Sean Deveney of the Sporting News has the 76ers taking Porzings 3rd overall, once again ahead of Russell.

Chris Mannix (6/10): For Sports Illustrated, Chris Mannix has the Sixers taking Russell at No. 3, one spot ahead of Porzingis. He only mocks the 1st round of the draft.

Overall tally for the 3rd pick:

  • D’Angelo Russell: 7
  • Kristaps Porzingis: 4
  • Emmanuel Mudiay: 1

We’ll provide another mock draft roundup next week, as things are almost guaranteed to change significantly as we get closer to the draft.
