(Update) “Black Madam” Given 10-to-20-Year Sentence

Butt-plumping procedure ended in young woman's death.

[Update 2:25 p.m.] Windslowe was given a 10-to-20-year prison sentence today.

“I’m truly sorry for the people I harmed, but know from the bottom of my heart that it wasn’t malice,” NBC 10 reports. She said she was trying to help other women get the feeling of beauty she had after receiving a sex change operation. “I basically felt like an ugly duckling turned into a swan.”

She’ll be eligible for parole in seven years.

[Original] Padge Victoria Windslowe — the so-called “Black Madam” convicted earlier this year for a butt-plumping injection that went awry, killing a young woman — is scheduled to be sentenced today.

“Windslowe has been in prison for three years in the 2011 death of Claudia Aderotimi,” AP reports. “She faces 20 to 40 years Thursday after her third-degree murder conviction.”

Philly Mag’s Victor Fiorillo reported earlier this year: “Windslowe, who is transgender, allegedly performed the cosmetic procedure on aspiring dancer Claudia Aderotimi in a room at the Philadelphia Airport Hampton Inn using a cheap silicone product and Krazy Glue. Authorities say that Aderotimi suffered complications within minutes; she died within hours. Windslowe reportedly charged $1,000 for her services.

“‘She took a product meant for industry and food grain and she injected it into a young woman who was otherwise healthy, at age 20 … who then died,’ Assistant District Attorney Bridget Kirn argued at an early hearing in the case. ‘That is … clear, clear evidence of malice, and disregard of the known and unknown risks she caused to other unknown women.'”

Winslowe acquired the “Black Madam” moniker for her performing career, an example of which can be seen below:
