Chris Christie Goes on Tonight Show

Chris Christie went on the Tonight Show Wednesday night — unfortunately, there were no dance routines for him this time. Instead he kept it relatively straight — if you ignore all the mugging and eyebrow wagging at the crowd — and discussed his presidential prospects: An announcement will come in May or June, he said.

Those prospects keep taking a beating, though. The Koch Brothers, who are powerful donors in Republican politics, this week announced a list of five GOP candidates they could support. Christie wasn’t on the list.

But Christie’s got a nicely comic, Mutt-and-Jeff thing going with Fallon. “I feel like I’m on the show every night,” he said. On Wednesday, he even endorsed Fallon’s “Tonight Dough” flavor of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream.
