WATCH: Sprinting Man in Hoodie Robs Ishkabibble’s on South Street

And makes off with a whopping $80 in cash.

Is nothing sacred? Last month, some probably-drunk idiots decided it would be a good idea to bang on and ram the front windows at Jim’s Steaks until they broke. And now comes this video of a guy breaking into another revered South Street cheesesteakery — Ishkabibble’s II.

On April 1st at 3:25 a.m., the suspect was caught on video burglarizing the restaurant at 517 South Street, the eat-in version of the original Ishkabibble’s a couple of blocks away. The full surveillance video released by police appears below.

First, he breaks the glass front door with a rock:

Then he sprints inside:

He leaps over the counter:

He pulls up his pants, which fell down a bit during the counter leap:

He removes a frame from behind the counter:

Why the frame? Because it contained cash. How much? Eighty freaking dollars.

And then, he sprints out the front door, making his exit through the shattered glass:

After that, say police, he flees north on Randolph Street toward Lombard Street.

Police describe the suspect as follows: “Male unknown race with a light complexion, facial hair, wearing a hooded sweater with a vest over top.”

Anyone with information is asked to call 911, the police tip line at 215-686-TIPS, or Detective Ruth in the South Detective Division at 215-686-3013.
