WATCH: Helmet-Cam Video of Westville House Fire

A firefighter's-eye view of a blaze.

Check this out:

We’ve heard of police “body cams,” but we didn’t know that firefighter helmet cams were in operation in this region. This was a Monday fire in Westville, N.J: According to PhillyFireNews.com, the first crew arrived to find black smoke billowing out of the house — an “all hands” alarm was then sounded, bringing additional personnel to the scene.

The Westville Fire Department reports: “Westville firefighters tackled this early afternoon blaze in the unit block of Timber Avenue Monday. Gloucester City, Mantua, West Deptford and Bellmawr fire departments also assisted with extinguishing the blaze. The fire was brought under control within the hour with no reported injuries. The incident is under investigation by the Gloucester County Fire Marshals Office.”

It’s a firefighter’s-eye view of a blaze that we don’t see too often.
