One of the worst things that can happen in super-cold weather like the kind we’re experiencing is a fire. Philly firefighters have spent their morning battling a blaze in West Philadelphia — fighting both the fire and the extreme temperatures. “The fire is burning inside the Locust Medical Center building along 52nd Street at Locust Street. It broke out around 4:45 a.m., fire officials tell NBC10,” the TV station reports. “Fire crews struck the second alarm shortly after arriving on scene.”
