David Cohen: Not Quite on the Hot Seat

But NYT's David Carr says he might be "rowing upstream."

Comcast’s David Cohen doesn’t quite make the list of media executives said by NYT columnist David Carr to be on the hot seat in the coming year. But he’s not exactly off it either, instead making Carr’s list of executives who might be “rowing upstream” in 2015.

Carr’s assessment: “David Cohen, Comcast’s executive vice president and Beltway ambassador, put a great deal of shoulder and rhetoric in pushing through the merger with Time Warner Cable. But what looked like a fait accompli now seems much less so.”

The FCC’s review of the merger is actually tabled untill mid-January, while the agency waits the delivery of thousands of documents it says Time Warner wrongly withheld from review.
