Drexel Student Stabbed on Campus

He was treated and quickly released; the attacker was apprehended.

A Drexel student was stabbed during an overnight fight on campus; he was treated at a nearby hospital, officials said, and the perpetrator quickly apprehended.

6ABC reports:

The incident happened at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 3300 block of Race Street in the University City section of Philadelphia.

According to the university, the student was involved in a fight with 5 other students outside the school’s residence halls.

The student was stabbed in the back, and medics rushed him to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in fair condition.

The student was later released. Officials said the attacker was “immediately apprehended.”
