Incentives May Bring Another Company to Camden

New Jersey ready to offer $100 million to attract jobs to the city.

Philadelphia Business Journal reports that New Jersey is prepared to offer $100 million to lure a new company — and 1,000 jobs — to Camden.

“While officials won’t disclose what company or companies might be the new additions to Camden, some speculate Subaru North America, which has long been on the hunt for a new headquarters to replace its Cherry Hill, N.J., digs, could be a likely candidate,” PBJ reports.

The state has recently offered nearly $500 million in incentives — to employers like the 76ers and Lockheed Martin — to bring in companies to revive Camden’s faltering economy.
