A Center City attorney faces charges he had sex with a 14-year-old girl who had been forced into prostitution by a Germantown couple.

District Attorney Seth Williams publicized the charges against Brian Meehan, 56, during a Tuesday morning press conference. The Germantown couple has not been named, pending the results of an ongoing grand jury investigation.

NBC 10 reports:

The victim was recruited by a couple in Germantown and forced into prostitution, according to Williams. During the month she was part of their alleged sex trade, the girl was forced to have sex with more than 20 people.

Court documents reveal she was allegedly brought to Meehan’s office to have sex for $300 on multiple occasions.

The victim told police the man and wife threatened to beat her or worse if she did or said anything.

CBS Philly adds:

Williams said Meehan had the girl come to his office in Center City Philadelphia. Williams said the teen told police that Meehan told her that he hired prostitutes on several occasions — even saying he had sex with a 12-year-old prostitute.

Williams said his office is investigating those claims.

There is a “special place in hell” for the accused Williams said during Tuesday’s news conference.

Meehan is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday. View the grand jury presentment below:
