Look at This Enormous Fish Someone Caught in Delaware

Seriously, you want to see the photo of this record-setting sheepshead catch in the Delaware Bay last month.

From the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control comes this photo of a record-setting catch in the Delaware Bay. It’s the largest sheepshead ever caught in the state of Delaware. Compare that fish with the one on the Wikipedia page!

The catch was made by David Walker of Boothwyn, who caught the 17.1-pound sheepshead on September 29th. The state sponsors yearly and all-time records though the annual Delaware Sport Fishing Tournament; this catch counts as a Delaware fish because Walker was coming from and returning to a Delaware port.

The previous record was 15.11 pounds; the world record is more than 21 pounds.

Per the state’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Walker called the catch “delicious.”
