MIT Student From Chester County Found Dead in Residence Hall
Phoebe Wang of Chesterbrook was found dead in her residence hall in Cambridge.
MIT sophomore Phoebe Wang of Chesterbrook was found dead in a residence hall. Wang, scheduled to graduate in 2017, was an active member of her MacGregor House dormitory and played the flute in the MIT Symphony Orchestra.
“It breaks my heart to tell you,” MIT President L. Rafael Reif said in an email to students and staff.
“The death of a young person is always a shock, and in recent months we have lost too many of our cherished students and dear friends,” Reif wrote.
MIT did not disclose the details of Wang’s death.
