Heavy storms in the overnight hours wreaked havoc all throughout the region, causing plenty of damage along the way.

Lightning is suspected in a fire that destroyed a building at Paradise Farm Club in East Bradford, Chester County.

Lightning is also suspected in an overnight fire that damaged a water tower in Camden, New Jersey located at Copewood and Davis Streets.

Philly.com adds:

Power outages were less extensive than during other recent storms, but more than 2,200 customers continued to lack electricity across the area as of around 8 a.m., according to Peco and PSE&G figures.

The heavy rain also caused damage to the alarm system at a Center City high-rise, forcing authorities to evacuate residents at 1216 Walnut St., the Philadelphia Fire Department said
