Delaware Teens Lose Tanning Privileges, Too

Pennsylvania teens already lost access to tanning beds.

Like their pale Pennsylvania cousins before them, the teens of Delaware will now be forced to live with the accidental-goth skin tone that comes naturally in the mid-Atlantic: Delaware Gov. Jack Markell today is signing a bill that bans teens from using tanning beds, even if they have parent’s consent.

NBC 10 reports the bill is aimed at reducing melanoma — skin cancer — in the state. “The bill goes into effect at noon and will ban anyone under the age of 18 from using tanning facilities, regardless of whether or not they have their parents permission.”
