Pa. Lottery Sets Sales Record, Again

It's the fourth straight year.

The Pennsylvania Lottery has set a record for ticket sales for the fourth straight year, the Patriot News reports

In the fiscal year that ended June 30, ticket sales surged to $3.8 billion, which is nearly $100 million, or 2.7 percent, above the prior year’s sales – and that was even without the oversight of a private lottery manager which Gov. Tom Corbett’s administration had explored as a way to boost ticket sales and lottery profits.

The good news? The lottery awarded a record $2.4 billion in prizes.
