Little Nicky Scarfo, 3 Others Convicted in Mob Trial

Nicky Scarfo Jr. and associate Salvatore Pelullo could face 30 years to life in prison.

Mobster Nicodemo “Little Nicky” Scarfo Jr., alleged mob associate Salvatore Pelullo, ex-First Plus Financial CEO John Maxwell and his brother William were all convicted today of a scheme that would steal from Texas-based First Plus. Three lawyers charged alongside were acquitted.

During the six-month trial, the government charged that Scarfo and Pelullo intimidated their way into control of the company, then stole $12 million from First Plus Financial shareholders in just over a year.

Scarfo and Pelullo could get 30 to life in sentencing. “Mob boss Nicky Scarfo Sr. won’t be happy,” Fox 29 mob reporter Dave Schratwieser tweeted.

The jury still has work to do, in forfeiture proceedings. Those are expected to begin next week.
