Fox 29 Names New Good Day Philadelphia Anchor

Alex Holley will be taking over for Sheinelle Jones, who left in March.

Fox 29 has named its new co-anchor for Good Day Philadelphia. Alex Holley will be joining Mike Jerrick at the anchor desk at the end of the summer. She’ll replace Sheinelle Jones, who left in March.

Holley, who graduated from the University of Missouri’s well-regarded journalism school, is originally from Texas. She previously worked at WMBF-TV in South Carolina. Per her bio on that site, she’s visited 11 different countries and her favorite word is “one-of-a-kind.”

“I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it!” co-anchor Jerrick said. “Seriously, I am thrilled to welcome Alex to the ‘Good Day Philadelphia’ team as my new partner! She is smart, witty and funny and I know Philly is going to love her.”
