Delaware Teen Apparently Bitten by a Shark

Thankfully, he was safe.

We are so grateful that a 16-year-old Delmar teenager survived an apparent shark attack on Monday — he got a gash on the forearm — because if something bad had happened, we couldn’t make jokes and references like this:

Because that would be in poor taste. Also, we're glad he survived because we like it when that happens anyway, regardless of our pop culture predilections.

As it is, Delaware officials are being a little more cautious with opening the beaches around Cape Henlopen this week because of the incident. We're fine with that. (State of Delaware)

    But, as you see, it’s a beautiful day, the beaches are open and people are having a wonderful time. Cape Henlopen, as you know, means “friendship”.
