Another Poll: Wolf Leads Corbett by 25 Points

Can Corbett dig his way out?

Two days ago, we told you about the poll that gave Democrat Tom Wolf a 20-point lead over incumbent Gov. Tom Corbett. Today, another poll, this time from Dem-leaning Public Policy Polling.

It gives Wolf a 25-point lead.

And that moves The Week magazine to basically declare the race over. (There are, uh, five months before election day.) “It is worth considering that if the immediate roles in this race were reversed, and the Democratic candidate Wolf were already the incumbent governor with a 25-point lead over his opponent, then this race would be virtually ignored on the grounds that it was not at all competitive,” Eric Kleefield writes. But the state’s political writers would get pretty bored in the meantime, wouldn’t they?
