Accused War Criminal Arrested in Delaware County

Jucontee Thomas Woewiyu — who was living in Collingdale, Delaware County — was arrested on immigration charges. The indictment calls him a war criminal.

Per the Inquirer’s Jeremy Roebuck, Jucontee Thomas Woewiyu has been arrested, accused of lying in his attempt to get U.S. citizenship. Immigration officials say Woewiyu — who was living in Collingdale, Delaware County, at the time of his arrest — is a war criminal.

His presence in the area was apparently known: He has a LinkedIn page. Woewiyu served with future Liberian president Charles Taylor in the first Liberian Civil War before breaking away in 1994 over ideological differences.

The indictment “links Woewiyu to their party’s campaign to execute political opponents, force girls into sex slavery and conscript boys to become child soldiers,” according to the Associated Press.
