Jay Paterno Running for Lieutenant Governor

As a Democrat.

From the Centre Daily Times:

Jay Paterno, 45, will seek the Democratic nomination in the primary election this spring, he wrote on his campaign website, http://www.votejaypaterno.com, which launched Thursday.

“As a married father of five, Jay has a passion for the issues that face Pennsylvania’s working families today and the issues that face the children of our commonwealth in the future,” his website said. “He will bring visionary leadership to Harrisburg to represent all the citizens of our commonwealth.”

Claiming he has been unable to get a job coaching football because of their sanctioning (and he claims, stigmatization) of Penn State, Paterno is currently suing the NCAA. Paterno and Kathleen Kane, in the same administration… Given Kane’s investigation into Corbett‘s investigation into Penn State, that would be pretty interesting.
