Seth Williams, Lynne Abraham Still Feuding

Were the current D.A.'s comments following arrest of J.P. Miranda directed at the former D.A.?

The Daily News reports that former D.A. Lynne Abraham and current D.A. Seth Williams apparently haven’t smoothed over their rocky relationship. Williams’ remarks about the arrest of Rep. J.P. Miranda — saying prosecutors “will no longer abdicate our responsibility to investigate” political corruption — were interpreted as a swipe at Abraham, his predecessor and onetime mentor.

Who was not impressed:

“Who does he catch in his net?” she asked, referring to Miranda. “This little small fry here.”

Now mulling a run for mayor in 2015, she said she feels sorry for Williams after all these years.

“He’s such an insecure person that he can’t stand on his own two feet,” she said after we read her some of his comments. “He always has to look to me. If it wasn’t so sad, it would be laughable.”

Williams later said his comments were not directed at any particular individual.
