Rubber Mask-Wearing Robber Sought in Delco

Police say this masked man is responsible for one robbery and two attempted robberies this week.

Police in Delaware County are looking for a robber it suspects in three recent incidents. He can be identified most notably, cops say, by his mustachioed rubber mask.

Yes, it appears to be some sort of mask with a Groucho Marx- or Mario-type mustache. (Or, really, any white dude with a thick black ‘stache.) The masked man is accused of a successful robbery at the Wells Fargo branch in Springfield Township earlier Thursday, and suspected of attempted robberies of post offices in Yeadon and Darby earlier this week.

CBS 3 reports:

Police say the suspect is a light-skinned male with a thin build who is between 5’7” and 5’9” tall. He was wearing black sunglasses, a baggy gray hooded sweatshirt, baggy jeans, a black knit ski hat and black gloves. He was also carrying a black bag and was wearing a distinctive rubber mask covering his face.

If you see a man matching that description, please call police—before robs another bank (or fails to rob another post office branch).
