Second Suspect Arrested in School Shooting

Allegedly sold the gun to the shooter.

6ABC reports: “Police have made a second arrest in connection with a shooting inside a Philadelphia school on Friday. Investigators say Donte Walker, 18, of the 5600 block of North Sydenham Street, appears to have sold the gun that was used inside the gymnasium of the Delaware Valley Charter School.”

Investigators say Raisheem Rochwell, the 17 year old accused of pulling the trigger, feared he was about to be the victim of an assault, and bought the gun for … self-defense purposes. So for all those people who say we should let more people on school campuses carry guns in order to protect against the rifle- bearing nuts who would kill our children: Well-done.

Its funny Matthew Brandley how suddenly if someone gets shot in the “ghetto” its black trash why does everything in this world resort to name calling??!! Pretty much its stupid people with guns doesn’t matter if its white or black. Why don’t we leave the name calling out and just refer to these people as stupid.

    @ Joel Mathis:
Sir, I realize you were trying to be witty or clever with you statement about having more guns in the schools to protect children from criminal gun violence. But neither gun-rights advocates, generally, nor the NRA in particular, have ever espoused the carrying of firearms by teenage school students, for purposes of their own self-defense or otherwise. What the NRA HAS proposed is that teachers and or securicty personal be trained in firearms deployment and allowed to carry those guns in schools. The NRA even offered to provide free training to them in the areas of safe handling and storage of firearms, proficiency in their deployment, AND circumstances under which the firearm should and should not be deployed in the protection of our school children.
Your sarcastic comment above about kids like Raisheem Rochwell having a gun in school for “self defense purposes”, and the implication that gun-rights folks advocate such a thing, demonstrates you lack of sophisticated thought on this issue. And that makes me wonder how some one with thinking like yours is permitted to be a featured writer on this kind of blog.
    Best Wishes and Stay Safe.
