Lower Merion Township officials received a letter Monday that says Gov. Corbett plans to reduce a pledged $15.5 million grant from the state’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program to $3.5 million. The grant is for the project to revitalize the Ardmore station and build a residential and commercial development nearby.
Corbett, you know you have to try to take at least one of the suburban counties around Philadelphia to have a chance in 2014, right? Oh, well, now you know. Both SEPTA and Amtrak pass through the station, which developer Carl Dranoff is planning on redeveloping. [Inquirer]
