Pennsbury Grad Eliminated From ‘The Voice’

Loses to a guy from Lancaster.

Whatever the opposite of “Hallelujah” is, sing it now. 21-year-old Pennsbury High School grad and West Chester University student Matthew Schuler was eliminated last night on “The Voice.” No, not by a judge. By Twitter.

The dream came to an end when James Wolpert secured more tweets than Schuler during the last five minutes of the live broadcast from California. The two contestants squared off for the Tweet save after they received the least number of votes from the national television audience following their performances Monday night.

The Bucks County native was defeated by some guy called James Wolpert. (Lancaster County. Lame.) Here’s Schuler’s boffo rendition of Leonard Cohen’s trademark tune, in more glorious times.
