Sandusky “Victim Number 9” Sues Penn State

Abuse began in 2005, when he was 12.

When “Victim Number 9” took the stand against Jerry Sandusky in 2012, a prosecutor asked him to identify his assailant, he pointed at him without looking. When the prosecutor asked him to look at him, he said, “I don’t want to look at him.” Victim Number 9, now 18, is suing Sandusky and Penn State.

He is seeking recovery of compensatory and punitive damages for Penn State’s role in aiding, abetting and enabling Sandusky’s pedophilia, according to the documents.

The attorney for the man known as “Victim 9” argues in the court documents that the “topmost” administrators of Penn State “knew with certainty that Sandusky was a serial sexual predator,” but the university valued the reputation of the football program more than the safety of children and did not report the abuse to law enforcement.

He has testified that the abuse began in 2005, when he was 12 years old, and continued for almost four years. [Daily Collegian]
