Only 2,200 Signed Up for Insurance Through Obamacare in PA

Yeah, that's bad. But here are two caveats.

About 1.3 million people are uninsured in Pennsylvania. A whopping 2,200 of them signed up for insurance plans through the Affordable Care Act’s federal insurance marketplace in the month of October. That’s a pretty weak percentage. However. And there are a couple howevers.

1. If the Corbett administration had expanded Medicaid, more than 500,000 of those would be eligible for insuance.

2. 57,000 did apply for insurance through Obamacare’s exchanges, so when (if) healthcare.gov’s website ever gets fixed, the total number of insured people in Pennsylvania will increase.
