ThinkFest Snapshot: Marc Vetri

Cultivating the Creative Connection

Marc Vetri

We’re rounding up the reasons Philly Mag readers should join us at ThinkFest, our week-long event connecting the brightest minds and most innovative ideas in Philadelphia.

Philly uber-chef and restaurateur Marc Vetri will be at the Kimmel Center for this year’s ThinkFest. Will you?

Vetri trained in Bergamo, Italy, and now has five Italian restaurants under his belt — Pizzeria Vetri being the latest — with the just-announced Brig headed to the Navy Yard in 2014.

When he’s not in the kitchen or launching new businesses, Vetri helps give back to the community as co-founder of the Vetri Foundation for Children. The Philly-native has received numerous honors, including the James Beard Award, and was recently seen hovering over President Obama’s shoulder.

You can catch Verti’s talk, “Cultivating the Creative Connection,” one of 17 idea-sparking sessions during ThinkFest’s Main Event, on Saturday, November 9th, at The Kimmel Center.
