Penn State Announces Official Settlement with Sandusky Victims

Agrees to pay tens of millions to 26 victims.

Penn State announced today that it would pay out $59.7 million to 26 of Jerry Sandusky’s victims.

23 of the 26 have already signed their settlements; six others have claimed abuse, but the university has either rejected their cases or is currently negotiating with them. Officials say the claims will not be funded by tuition, taxpayer funds or donations, but mostly through its liability insurance funds.
