Parking Valet Steals $225K from Eagles Lineman

37-year-old Von Ryan, whose name alone makes him a great candidate to play the villain in Beverly Hills Cop IX, stole over $225,000 from Eagles offensive lineman Todd Herremans, according to federal prosecutors.

“Police say the scheme began in late 2009/ early 2010 while Von Ryan was employed to guard the cars of Eagles players at the parking lot of the team hotel in Philadelphia. According to investigators, Von Ryan allegedly went into Todd Herremans’ car and copied down his bank account number and routing number.”

At an event at the Bala Cynwyd Saks last night, Herreman told a reporter he was “disappointed” in himself for not keeping that information “locked up.” Considering he’s now been fully reimbursed, Saks isn’t the worst place to find yourself a quarter-million dollars richer. [6 ABC]
